Robert Hunter-Jones is:-

• A Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer with a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering and Foundations
• a former Member of the Member Services Committee of the previous Institute of Building Control (now merged with the RICS);
• a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and the London Branch's Building Control Vice Chair;
• a contributor to the former IBC Magazine Building Control
• employed as the Principal Building Control Surveyor at the London Borough of Ealing Building Control Services;
• a part time lecturer on the BSc(Hons) Building Control Degree course at Westminster University;
• secretary of the Education and Seminars Committee of the London District Surveyors Association;
• a past member of the Institution of Civil Engineers Building Control Advisory Panel;
• vice-chair of the Institution of Structural Engineer's Advisory Group on Temporary Demountable Structures;
• secretary of the Sx3 Building Control Wizard software Management and Southern User Groups, helping to improve the Building Control "Wizard" software;
• a member of the CICAIR Management Board.
